Roof rack components
A Thule Roof rack is usually made up of three key components: the Fitting Kit, the Footpack and the Roof Bar itself. Let's delve into each one...
THULE Fitting Kit
The Fitting kit is the small but important component that secures your THULE Roof bar to your vehicle. The kits act as an adapter for specific vehicle models to link the footpack and the car, allowing the roof rack to be perfectly secured. THULE Foot pack
The THULE foot pack allows for your roof bars to be mounted and secured onto your vehicle. Foot packs are used in conjunction with the fitting kits (above) to ensure a perfect fit to your specific car. Footpacks slide onto the underside of the roof bar and are fixed into position on the vehicle using a lock and key system. Learn more here.
THULE Roof Bar
Finally, the most important part, the THULE Roof bar. This sits ontop of the foot pack and comes in a variety of styles to meet your requirements. They are usually fixed onto your car's roof using the above foot pack and fitting kit. These roof bars also have many smart design features. A textured surface disturbs the airflow and greatly reduces wind noise. The aluminium extrusion creates one of the strongest load bars in the market. The design gives you quick, no-hassle installation. While the end cap pivots and T-track make it easy to add further loading options.
